The Studio

The Studio at Wild Qi

Tucked at the back of our grounds, the studio opens to mountain and treetop views that invite both expansiveness and grounding. Soundproof and intentionally designed, it holds its own frequency — connected to the meditation gardens and tea lounge, yet distinctly alive as a sacred container.
The space supports many forms: ceremony and sacred gatherings, movement, yoga and dance, meditation and silence, circle and dialogue. Classes and workshops are available through our calendar, and private rentals may be reserved by email.
Capacity: 40–50 people.

Sauna | Cold Plunge

Sauna & Cold Plunge at Wild Qi (Contrast Therapy)

Our sauna and cold plunge area lives as a temple space. At Wild Qi, contrast therapy—moving between sauna heat and cold plunge—embodies the balance of yin and yang in Chinese medicine. Heat opens and moves qi, while cold nourishes and restores. Together, they invigorate circulation, strengthen vitality, and leave the body both energized and deeply grounded.
In Chinese medicine, health is rooted in the harmonious flow of yin and yang— the cooling, nourishing forces of yin and the warming, activating forces of yang. Contrast therapy, alternating between heat (sauna) and cold (plunge), is a modern practice that beautifully embodies this ancient principle of balance.
The benefits through a Chinese medicine lens:
Strengthens Qi and circulation
Heat expands the vessels, encouraging the smooth flow of blood and qi. Cold then contracts and tones the channels, creating a rhythmic pumping that revitalizes the entire system.
Balances yin and yang
Sauna cultivates yang warmth, helping to dispel cold and stagnation, while cold plunge nourishes yin, cooling excess heat and inflammation. Together, they restore dynamic equilibrium in the body.
Supports the organs
The Kidney system, which governs vitality and resilience, is strengthened by the alternation of hot and cold. The Lung and Heart systems also benefit from enhanced circulation and deeper regulation of breath.
Calms the spirit (Shen)
This practice clears heat, moves stagnation, and settles the mind, leaving one both energized and deeply grounded.
At Wild Qi, our sauna and cold plunge offerings are living expressions of classical Chinese medicine wisdom, designed to harmonize body, mind, and spirit.
